Been posted before, but always worth a re-look! That is the greatest bit of car footage ever, in my opinion!

Wonder if any of the old footage of Roger Clark and others is accessible...?

Escort through Dovey(?) was memorable.....

I'm on about that 405 diesel.

My neighbour used to have one....

Didn't sound like that.

absolutely superb, could agree about it being best ever.
The pan out shot from the helicopter puts it into perspective how daft it all is and then the spectators standing on the outside edge!

Surely must be the Pikes Peak? Awesome driving and great photography too.

I remember showing this to a few lads working with the WRC, they were also mightily impressed.

My favourite bit is when he puts his hand up to block out the sun light... boy can that boy drive

I would like to see a modern day artsy film on todays race cars say WRC or even F1. Imagine Monaco in todays high performance cars. There was a great Senna clip of this but was rather low quality vid. Then there was that other French film, Rendezvous or something. Or say a quality video of the Carrera GT at the ring. Having watched several Pikes Peak hill climbs on TV this video is not unusual (in terms of driving) except for the quality recording. It is a little bizarre seeing a giant diesel truck sliding up the mountain just a few feet from falling off. Talk about daft.
