Revamping Snetterton
Discussion
Looks good, my opinion of JP has gone up loads since he took over Brands.
Always had a soft spot for Snett, so good to see it get the recognition it deserves. Read about this in Autosport and JP seems to have the right idea about changing what isn't so good. Just hope no-one dares drive over the kerbs...

get the thumbs up from me, i like the look of the extension before Sears and it will certainly offer another out braking point, especially in slower cars. Now, if only they good move it from its current location and stickit somewhere closer to civilisation! that said, the location is probably the one thing it has going for it at the moment, being far away from anything must make it an ideal location for proper cars that make loads of noise!

It appears that JP does have a bit of a sense of humour on that one. After black flagging pretty much the whole Ginetta field in the first A1 support race, he did raise a bit of a smile when the winner of the second donutted all the way up the hill on the grass!
Edit:-
Do like the plans - also like his ambition for all of his circuits. Like or loath him, he has turned round Brands and I don't doubt that he will make a success of the Snet developmement.

I like it too, the old back straight (Revetts) is currently the longest in the UK but it looks like the new front straight will be even longer...!!
Hope the run off at Riches will cope with the increased speeds, when people go off there they tend to disappear into the corn field, some never to be seen again

ooo looks like I'm in a minority then .. I think the defining points of snett are the long coram then the back end out on the brakes as you barrel downhill scrubbing off speed then sharp left onto the pit straight .. people are going to be much less imaginative, and desperate, now to be able to pass at the end of the pit straight
It's even more of an aero-downforce circuit than ever and will absolutely punish cars with no power (as if it didn't already)
And what is that sears change for? A proper hooligan corner becomes just another constant radius aero-friendly yawn.
IMO this is all about the circuit length and attracting money and not about making the circuit better for drivers.
