MGCC & BRSCC & 750MC race costs help

Evening all

Am trying to sort out the costs for racing for the year for my boyfriend so that he knows what he has to put aside to afford the whole season on his pitaful pennies he earns.

Any clues as to what the MGCC, BRSCC or 750MC will charge for their races roughly? I know they may all differ but just after guesses.

My guess would be about £160 per race. Add to this test days ( say about the same again)Fuel ( say £60 including getting there), plus hotels, food etc. About £400-£450 a race all in would seem about right.

If you are just talking race entry fees, then I would think the MGCC and 750MC will be similar and not a lot dearer than last year. The BRSCC are something else and a law unto themselves.
750MC charged around £135 for a single race Mallory Park last year and expect to pay considerably more for the likes of Brands and Donington. I think I paid £195 for a double header at Cadwell although one race got cancelled.
What race series and car has he got as this will affect what he pays and needs to put by?

MGCC entries are all around 170-180 pounds per race. Although some of the MGCC championships 'guest' at other race meetings and these are occasionaly cheaper. IE: The MG championship I race in has a double header at Angelsey that is not an MGCC meet and the entry fee for the full two days will be not much over 200 quid.

Entry fees seem very similar across clubs, usually it's the cost of car prep and running costs through the year that have the greater influence. If you need any more info on MGCC events or the costs of racing an MG just ask.
