Help! Placement!

Hello all, My first post on here so be kind to me!
Right im currently in my 2nd year at university, studying a Bsc in Motorsport Technology at Herts uni.
Im looking to do a placement year with industry.
I have relevant work experience working with ferraris and porsches and also with a large caterham race team.
But im finding it ever so hard to find a paid placement for 12 months!
yes i know its about who you know in this game, thats where you lot come in!!
Do you own a team/know a team manager/know a driver or anything really,
If so could you please email me a contact address and email for them.
I have written about 60 letters to race teams and had 14 replies so far in 8 weeks. A few have expressed interest but as usual they are not sure with who is driving for them in 2006 so cant sort the staff till then!
Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated
