I for one am interested...should be a good year this year I think.

When is it repeated?...I am out at football on Saturday.

Steve Rider is going to be much better than Jim Rosenthal I think. He was excellent in this (rather short) preview. There is an interesting interview with him in the F1 supplement with today's Times.

Steve Rider has a long history of passion for motorsport.
Jim Rosental has a long history of passion for football.

Bit of a no-brainer who is going to be a better presenter for the F1 show.

(I missed the preview today - was it any good?)

It was a lot shorter than I expected... the best bit was an interview with Jenson Button really. Nothing that was unmissable in my opinion. It was nice to hear the new engines though, they sound pretty good.

Someone suggested it might be included in the preview section before the first race.

Didn't he stick a Volvo Touring Car into the gravel once?
Can't remember who he was out with (this was when BBC covered the Touring Car - Live!) but I think he got around half the lap and the took a trip off road.

Not really relvant - but there you go.

yep woody, it was a live broadcast from Brands Hatch (I used to go with my dad every year to watch the BTCC when I was a kid), he was just saying "and this is where you feel just how much grip these sorts of cars have" coming around clearways and he stuffed it into the gravel trap.

There's a 2006 F1 preview on Motors TV at 7pm (tonight). Perhaps it's the same one?

If you didn't see it, assuming you keep up with the off season via the websites or the magazines, you didn't miss anything that you don't already know. I think it was more for the benefit of the lunch time couch potato than enthusiasts.

Doubt it. They've been showing a preview on Motors quite frequently recently. It's more a few shots of the new cars with a voice over talking about some of the changes to the teams/cars/drivers interspersed with a few interviews IIRC. Nothing that's going to set the world alight, but I still watched it.

Very good. Steve Rider is a breath of fresh air compared to the other muppet.

So now we need to get rid of James Allen and (some of) the adverts!

How he has lasted this long is beyond me. I can only assume he has a "special relationship" with someone in high places.
