Nice photos Izzy. I took a few and some can be seen here:-

The photos are excellent. Not only does the rain make the cars look dramatic it makes driving them pretty drasmatic too!
Izzy, were you the lady I chatted with in the pit garage whop told me it takes hours and hours to sort the photos? If so, I can see why - the end result is worth it. Bet you got wet though!!!!

Just a word of warning Izzy if Richard offers to show you his collection of etchings in the motorhome flee to hills !
Once again great photos by both Paul & Izzy. I`ve said it before but it`s one of the highlights of racing to see good photos of the car in action. It captures for posterity something that is long forgotten once the chequered flag drops. We are very lucky that people can be bothered to brave the elements to feed our visual hunger !
Henry
(We were in the grey car that just beat you by the way Richard - can`t see what all the fuss was about, we didn`t even need 700bhp !)
I know - wait until Oulton park when normal service will no doubt resume

Henry fell for it hook, line and sinker. Trouble was, I was the one disappointed!!!!!!
As for normal service and 700 horsepower I doubt Oulton will be the place. John Allen is just not used to turbo lag AND 900 bhp and Oulton is not the place to try!!!!! My monies on Cook for this one. In all seriousness I think it will take us until Snetterton at the earliest to be able to really push as we are amateurs at this pit stop strategy thing!
Still, its great fun learning.
Richard.

It`s another angle to the racing and one that brings the whole team together. Jaz are far more involved than they ever were in the sprint races. It takes a while but the strategy does start to become second nature. This time last year we lost 2 complete laps to bungled pit stops, this year we`ll make time, particularly with things like wheels changes where the guys can really fly.
I think the fact that you`ve teamed up with John has really added another dimension to the racing and it`ll be great to see him gain confidence, it`s an almightly mouthful to bite off but that`s why you`re doing it !

MMC.... (can't help but smirk that we got shoved out with only 300Bhp....)
not exactly help the grid sizes has it all? (19 vs 23 for the same meeting last year)

Thanks.
Yes, it seems the rain always wait for the Britcar to be on track... after 4 months of warm and dry weekends, it was a bit unpleasant!
Great you on now PH Izzy hope you did not get as cold as on the Wednesday.
Will have to make sure I have something to warm you up.
So long as you do not bring the rain with you.
Our car does have more than 300 horsepower. In fact it runs close to 420 horsepower and I cannot see what is wrong with that. We built a new engine to comply with the regulations and I think our performance in the wet showed that our speed comes not from grunt but from the chassis. Indeed, despite being quicker into the corners, quicker at the apex and faster out of the corners we were still being dropped on the straights and this by a few cars in a lower class! I am certainly not complaining but just pointing out a fact.
When a car has a performance advantage it is very easy for the paddock to say it is running enormous power. Certainly, this has been a comment levelled at us over the years. The unfortunate point is power without control (thank you Pirelli!) is pointless and it is the chassis that wins races and and gives speed. Even at its height our engine has never produced more than 506 brake , measured on a real dyno, not a rolling road, so it shows that everyones obsession with power figures is sometimes wasted.
We came 5th at the weekend and we need to raise our game as we want to win. Our strategy was wrong and we did not drive fast enough. I doubt we will be in better shape at Oulton but we intend to get there. Britcars rules and regulations do appear to be somewhat of a moving target but we will succeed and that success will have little to do with horsepower. The Silverstone race was excellent and close. There are not many races that after almost 2 hours have the first 5 cars on the same lap. Someone, somewhere must be doing something right!
Cheers,
Richard.

Richard,
you seem to have missed my point, (which was not actually aimed at you).
My point is/was that we got basically binned for having a car with the lowest HP figure in the entire field (yes, I know you can then point out that at some 800Kg's we where also the lightest).
you only have to look at the similar Prosport LM3000 that ran on the test day (Britsports) to see they are hardly going to dominate the field:
HARDMAN/LEVENTIS Prosport LM3000 1:31.737
vs.
CHAMBERLAIN/ALLEN Porsche 935 Replica 1:25.273
and yes, I do feel somewhat aggrieved at this (after being given personal assurances that a Prosport would be OK in Britcar)

Nope, wasn't as cold as Wednesday.
Cup of tea would be nice
The rain follows the britcar, no me!
