the propellant in squirty cream is nitrous oxide, bit he'd probably have to use up a lot of squirty cream to get enough NO to put in his tank in the car.

He's looking for a refill of his cylinder all they supply is the gas. He is going to set an account up and rent a large bottle so he can refill at home, but until then he's just looking for somewhere that will just fill his small car bottle. (more costly he knows..!)

Thanks for the suggestion though, I think it might be a good idea to try a smaller gas supplier and see what they suggest.

Cheers,
M

BOC swap over cylinders, so they take away the old one and bring you a new one. At least this is what they do for the nitrogen/carbon monoxide/hydrogen/whatever where I work.

alternatively you could try to make your own, by the thermal decompostion of ammonium nitrate. You'll geta mixture of gases (NH3, NO, NO2, CO2, water) so be careful. Also heating it can cause it to explode. I wouldn't try unless you know what you're doing and have got the kit!
