We have tried MST this morning and there are still no results on there for any of the Pembrey qualifying & races yesterday.

That's where I tried also. Must be a site problem. Anybody know of another site?

We ran with the Welsh Sports and Saloons (I think!). Rough results as follows (minus the other cars!)
1. Graham Walden
2. Marc Hockin
3. Steve Hall
4. Iain Jones

DNF

Howard Bryan
Cliff Jobson
Kevan Gore

I'm back early cause Iain's clutch has given up so can't race today. Howard's also had to give up due to gear box trouble.

The current damage for me from this weekend is
1 clutch
1 wheel bearing on the trailer, resulting in £150 to be recovered to a relatives house near Monmouth where it is until i can get a new stub axle assembly down there and fitted.

Good job I have 5weeks to Snett.

Regards
Iain

Mike, the engine blew...nah only pulling you!!!

I believe Cliff got intimate with a Honda Civic and ended up being pulled up for body work damage Kevan had (lack of) fuel issues and Howard (in his own words) snapped his nob off, while he and JR were off getting it welded up John was crawling about under the car and found another cracked gearbox casing on the Tasmin which put pay to any thoughts of the second race.

No idea what the results of the second race were, i was in the middle of a nightmare at the time!

Thanks to John, John, Howard, Julie and Heather helping me get home today, what a 'mare.

Regards
Iain

This racing lark must be very expensive per track racing mile! How did your car run?

The TVR results are now on MST - they raced with the WRDA Sports Saloons.

The final result was 1 all to me and marc...

In the second race I made a mistake and span in the 2nd corner melee on the first lap that put me right at the back... A spirited drive saw me through the pack and i got within 6 seconds of marc with 5 mins to go and the red flag came out ho hum... finishing 3rd to marcs 2nd overall 1 & 2nd in class, cracking weekend though.

Many thanks to the Jamie and Trevor at Castle-race-engines.com who spent the week before tweeking the motor to find a few more ponies

It's getting that way, the clutch was playing up all weekend so couldn't say, the previous lack of power has been sorted by a new fuel regulator, but I couldn't say what exact difference it's made since the muppet on the rolling road I use(d) decideed to crank the fuel pressure up beyond 100psi...cos it was leaning out at the top end...well durrr, maybe the injectors can't open? Anyway, I've got my money back and told him exactly what i think of him. It was giving 227hp at 5100 and 100+psi pressure. Jamie has given me a different chip to put in which is meant to improve the manners of the fueling, but until i can do so consistant and reliable testing who knows. Certainly better than it was, but can't use it.

Hopefully recovering car and trailer on Wednesday.

Iain

Iain - that wheel on the trailer was squeaking like a barsteward as you pulled into the paddock at Combe. I was speaking to Graham W at the time and I got the impression from him you were aware of it?

If not apologies, I should have told you.

On the other hand, if you knew about it and didn't get round to it before driving to Pembrey then you are, as they say in Northern Ireland, an ejjit !!!

Yeah it ate a brake shoe on the way to coombe, it was a different wheel bearing that failed on the way back from Pembrey apparently. and that was despite checking all the hubs for heat after each run..
