Difficult one to call this time. Brands GP normally pulls the biggest Britcar grids but sadly this year its the same weekend as both Le Mans and the Nurburgring 24hr races... DOH! This will take some of the teams away.

I am going in my Calypso Red VX220, will park up South Bank I hope. Prefer Brands when not so many crowds anyway. Lets hope there are a few cars racing though!

Will actually be quite busy as Dutch Supercars are also running.

The Britcar grid will be around 30 and the Production S1 around 40, so pretty busy and some very good cars.

I will be there in my M3 CSL GTR (the red one), though we will be running a new engine (last one died at Spa), and we have had no time to run it in!!!! Hopefully the new graphics will be on the car too. Handkammer and Leslie are not running, so only HenryF to really worry about in our class

Disaster! Lots of problems, but all came good on Sunday - until the throttle pedal decided to die Drive-by-wire, so nothing we could easily do to fix it. Still finished 9th overall. Congrats to HenryF and the Top cats boys.

Roll on Donington!!

Fantastic weekend, great weather and good grids. The Brit cars were awesome, the F40 and the Aston DBR9 made the whole thing worthwhile just to see them! Shame the crowds dispersed somewhat for the Britcar race on sunday. Hope the F40 and Aston will be at the Silverstone 24hr which I am planning on going to!

Anthony: Yes love the F40, never seen a race version in the metal, is this a 'genuine' works built car or built by yourselves? I am sure I remember seeing this in a magazine feature somewhere???? am I right? I remember drooling over the huge rear wing. Hope to be coming to Silverstone 24hr will come into the paddock at Silverstone and hopefully be able to have a good look at it. I bet your running costs are astronomical! Aren't the road cars over £150k!!!!!!

Could maybe offer some help in the pits for the 24hr if you were interested?

also your web site is kaputt!

i started building this car in 1995 for the fia gt series as a gt1 car but the money fizzled out and it went back to italy to return about 5 years ago and was built into a road car. then we put a v12 550 maranello engine and a 6 speed sequential box in it also changed a few other things and did some british gt with it. then we were kicked out of british gt at the last minute because the car was not a current model - hence britcar!
the running costs are not really that much compared to any other car as since we built it in the first place we can make most of the parts ourselves, unfotunately that does not include tyres and entry fees etc and since i am only really a mechanic on average to poor wages there is no budget to speak of!!!! i am hoping that following our recent outings people can see the potential and we can find a liitle cash to do some more outings but the 24 is definately out.
the website is currently under construction and should be up and running in the next week or so.

This is the great thing about Britcar! Amateurs can all have a go.

Oh, and thanks for, giving me a big grin on my face when racing alongside an F40!
