You might be lucky enough to get the start and end televised on TV, if you want to see it all and some of the build up you'll need Sky/Cable and either Eurosport or Motors TV

Its worth getting hold of the Sky box. Motors TV coverage so far has been excellent.

And don't forget to be watch at 9am on Saturday morning as they are showing the old cars in the Centenary race.

Plus the Motors TV (and the Le Mans.org) websites have live timing systems.

Doesn't look like it, Assen MotoGP on Saturday, World Superbikes on Sunday and their usual garbage in between (they have a strong attraction to showing every tennis match in full). That's of course if their TV schedule actually matches what they show, which it very rarely doesn't.

That's a bit of a bummer. I have enjoyed their Le Mans coverage for years. It was one of the few things they did really well.

But still disjointed by other sports. The Motors coverage this year of the race is non-stop throughout the entire 24 hours.

Complete with some of the people that used to do some of the Eurosport coverage too.

Eurosport's coverage wasn't perfect - but it was better than any of the terrestrial channels. I don't subscribe to Murdoch's Pension Fund so am always reluctant to pay for additional channels. However, the way things are going, you are going to have to subscribe to see ANYTHING from now on.

Is that an improvement?

Motors TV seems to be best bet - coverage well into the night which is great.

Grandstand on Beeb Two may well show the opening couple of laps and cut to........ tennis/bowls/darts or snooker - take your pick.

Eurosport may slot in a couple of hours as their programmes never seem to stick to schedule anyway.

Motors TV coverage of touring cars etc is top notch, so I can't see Le Mans being any worse.

Good coverage on Motors tv.

Can we scrap the karting bits in between though.

Like the sound of this Motors TV; what package do you get that on? Anyone know if it available in Oz?

I think there are availability options on the site somewhere - www.motorstv.com/site/home.php?lg=2

Just been looking at the TV Motors site (thanks for the link) and @ the SKY packages.
Package you need is News/Events ( seems a little odd ) as its not in the Sports package.
If I sign up it would cost £25 a month + £89 for Sky Plus box.
As for getting it down under sorry. TV Motors web site lists all the Satellites they broadcast from and
they are all European, so unless you can bounce the signall off the Moon!

Yes I had a look at the website too and couldn't find anywhere saying you could get it here typical for this backwater.

Hope there's enough bandwidth for everyone downloading and I can listen to Radio Le Mans at the same time
