Canadian GP / England Game

I’ve just realised that the Canadian GP on Sunday will clash with England’s game against Ecuador, Radio Times online reports that ITV1 will show the England game live and the ITV-F1 website says that the broadcast times for the Grand Prix will be posted shortly.

I’m just wondering whether the GP will be shown live on ITV2/3?

Looks like motor racing fans without freeview will have to stay-up until the early hours to watch a re-run of the race. It’s a pity the BBC wasn’t showing the match at least then most people would have a choice.

After watching England play Sweden I don’t know whether I can take another 90mins (or more) of anxiety I may just put the race on and have a sleep as usual!

I believe these are the correct times/channels for the F1 coverage

Live qualifying: Saturday 24 June 1800-1930 ITV4
Qualifying re-run: Sunday 25 June 0045-0230 ITV1
Live race: Sunday 25 June 1700-2000 ITV2
Highlights: Monday 26 June 0100-0200 ITV1

It's really shocking that they can't show the race live on ITV1. (and Freeview isn't available in my area, before anyone mentions it )

Fcuking cheek, they take the p*ss as it is with qualifying, why not get the BBC to show the soccer, since they can't show the race, can they? C*ckends...

According to radiotimes.com, not only will ITV1 be showing the football live instead of the GP, but the only race coverage that will be on the analogue broadcast will be the one-hour highlights programme - to be shown at 1am after the highlights of the football that they just showed live, and after such important prime-time shows as 'Amimals Do The Funniest Things'.

Thats a ing disgrace for anyone who doesnt have digital. Fortunately I do so I know what will take priority for me (F1 of course)

They were always going to, on one of their four channels.

Equally, they were never going to be showing the England game.

Yes, they were, but it was shocking they weren't going to show it on ITV1. But it seems it's all sorted (although they are mostly to be chopping the drivers' press conference again..... )

Yes, I thought that too, live coverage from 5pm with the race starting at 6pm, until I noticed that was the schedule for no football. (ITV1)?
