1963 LA Times Grand Prix, Riverside California

Anyone know where I might find an entry list for the 63 LA Times Grand Prix sports car race at Riverside. In particular, looking for info on Jim Clarks ride in a Lotus 23. From old video, looks like the car was painted silver wearing number 222.

my father has issues of MotorSport magazine back to 1949, i'll venture up into the attic.... what month was it?!

It was over the 11th, 12th and 13th of October. It was the 6th annual race.

There's a link to a video of the event here - http://forums.speedgeezers.com/index. which I'm sure is the film Mike has already seen as it was an ESPN recording looking back at the race. Which looked like an amazing event to be at given the brief run down of drivers present.

That was a lovely piece of film. What a collection of great drivers and cars - and all beaten by the youngster Dave McDonald. The sad thing was that McDonald was killed in a horrendous crash at Indianapolis the following year.
