I will cetainly be there but unsure whether I will be camping or not. I guess that it does make sense and if it's free then it would be rude not to!

Cheers mate

Unfortunately I have now sold the Jag to make way for a new trackday toy, kinda mixed emotions at the moment

mixed with

Would be good to try and get some sort of a meet together at Donnington, perhaps we should all wear a red rose and meet under the clock at 12!

failing that I guess we could just wear an item of Pistonhead clothing!

Yeap, I'm camping.

Question, can we pitch up on the Friday night? Or is it admission only from Saturday morning onwards?

I've no reason to camp - live in Sheffield, parents live in Staffs so only about 40 mins from either side. However, beers on site all weekend sounds better than driving for 40 minutes!!!!!

So whats the deal with camping? The map on the wesbite has it located just outside McLeans, are there some kind of showers/toilets/bars on offer? Being free means thet the money saved on petrol can be spent on beer tokens. Loverly!

Trying to persuade the OH that camping would be a good idea but he is not biting at the moment.

Think it would be great fun.

I spoke to Kai Kruse at the Ring. So, the logistics are on the save side. They will carry my stuff over to Donington and back. So, camping is go.

Looked it up on Google Earth, Looks fairly rudimentary, maybe a shower/toilet block, but thats about it! Still us camping lot are a bit more hardy, no?

Wondering whether the infield will be open?

Be good to have a PH gathering, though judging by the responses on here looks like we struggle to get double figures

Few years since I've been to Donny, anyone been recently?
If so was the infield open to anyone or restricted to owners clubs etc?

I've seen that the Speedchills guys have some campsite about 5 mins walk from the competitors entrance down near the Melbourne Hairpin.

Anyone intending to use this site? Be very convenient for cold beers and food although I do prefer the novelty of having nothing booked and just throwing a tent in the car.

Camping at Coppice but only a loo block, no showers. May stop Saut/Sun if there's enough going - few beers in the bar. Are there bars open and to what time. Silverstone closed the bart at 11 last year but the race didn't finish till gone 10 which was shocking organisation - combined with most of the stands and toilets being closed then they obviously don't want spectators.

We are going, just hope its better than last year when it pi55ed it down all day at Silverstone. We will be there on the sunday only though, probably down at the old hairpin. Should be excellent racing if they have a full grid.
