Ok then chaps, time to throw you hat into the ring on next season.

I know alot of people are expecting and pushing me towards Class A next season but Im 99.9% certain i'll still be in B as that suits my performance/pound sterling ratio

Some of the Guys Like Howard and CJ have thrown their Hat into the ring with Class A cars announced for next season to go up against the challenge spec cars and the Sagari of Tim, Andy and Darren et al..

So what about the rest of you planning then

well, if things go to plan we should have the car caged and sorted over the winter, I'll get me papers and we'll contest a couple of rounds in the www.tvrmonster.com Griff.

should be a group A car (we'll get stuffed) that may be possible to run with the front group B cars. (I hope)

we'll hopefully be at Coombe, pembrey and Spa (possibly Brands coz i love it, oultons good, love Donnie...

...Oh dear! )

Don't really want to skint myself halfway through a season in A, so if our Tuscan project gets off the ground I would like it positioed to 'compete' in B. Having said that, depending on budget, I may be forced to run the Tas again in C, which given my inexperience wouldn't be a bad thing! Although that isn't the plan.

I'm in it for the thrill of racing, which means competing, which means having a capable car for its class, which also means a budget to suit. If the money aint there to build a competitive car in its class then you don't achieve any of this, worse still you might only make half the grids due to budget constraints. That's just not thrilling at all!!!

So expect to see me either in the Tas in Class C or if at all possible and all goes to plan a competitive car in B.....at best.

New boy Mickey (G Star) Holden will be out with you guys in 07. Running his 350i in class "c" I am told by the powers at be. He will have to sit out the first two races as Mick is not sixteen untill May 2nd, "Send all birthday cards to the garage"
We are looking forward to the whole thing starting !!...

sorry mate but 14 taken you, may have to sell some other body part and get a even lower number.
any way all you racers ,if you had a day job instead of midday gassing you may not need to depend on sponsors so much??
Graham. good of you to big up your rivals sponsors dom will be grinning.600bhp? ,need 6ltr and good air pump for that. Tuscans/class b.any cars. from the begining of 2005 said to simon bowles all cars should be 1000kg min with driver still beleive that.also said a griff will not beat a tusc chassis/driver at 970kg,dont believe that any more,i ought have said 'should not'
any way for 2007 we hope to run class a with a air pump on our 5ltr unit, need to up grade brakes, shed a few kilos, any suggestions

Fantastic! Can I have your Class A engine package when your sponsors sack you for running near the back then?

Nope, Sponsors quite happy with the plan and we should be running at the front of B.

There may well Be a More powerfull engine package put together but we have other plans for that

If needed we have some scope to get the current engine closer to the existing class limit still a few BHP to go yet

So far we have Iain Jones, Neil Russell (Vixen), Mickey Holden (350i) and a rookie in my V6 Taz. There is also talk of another Vixen and one more V6 Taz.

The whole grid appears to be growing for 2007

You coming out of retirement John?

I've been talking to a gent with a Chim that he wants to prep for track days and then eventually racing, I don't think he'll be out next year, but who knows!

Also, I know on another guy local to me, well a Potter, who's possibly looking to swap his Wedge road car for a Tasmin racer.

Iain

No deal has been done for next year yet but I expect the TVRCC will continue to sponsor things and they provide the roundles and I dont expect the colour to change

never mind Mickey. I am hoping to race you Howard. I reckon the tortoise and Hare approach could well be a good strategy. I reckon with the extra power you will be spinning that much more, and then there will be all of your engine re-builds with that sp 6 you are determined to run, and what with you running an automatic box next year......................

Watch out for the ls7's although I've no idea how the stock internals will survive.

The LS7's I've seen come with all steel innards, dry sump, 500bhp (SAE) rock bolt stock.
Ruddy cheep grunt too! Available in a crate from Chevrolet dealers in the 'States.

www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/120/products/265565/LS7-2006-Corvette-Crate-Engine-70L-427-Cubic-Inch-Coming-Soon.htm

Too damn cheap if you ask me.

Lurvely!
