Seems like he was playing silly buggers with Doornbos...

Two seconds to be added to his times in Q1 and Q2. At the Hungaroring, where passing is notoriously difficult. Doh! (where's the Homer Simpson gif when you need it?)

That's two seconds added to his fastest time in the first two sessions of qualifying. That still leaves him with his second fastest time which ought to be enough.

If that's the case he can just do 2 flying laps and make it through with ease, which is I think what they should all do, fueling for one lap has caught many out.

bit of a daft thing to do though? Looks like a road rage incident you expect to see on the M25

Not a very classy move from the current champion, he's starting to look more and more rattled by Schumacher's recent form.

I assume that his fastest time is the one he has to use as per normal, and then gets docked 2 seconds.

Seems to have lost the plot a bit now that MS has started taking chunks out of his "comfort zone" lead.

I'd be disappointed if that were the case. The "normal" punishment for that sort of thing is "lose your x fastest qualifying times". My suggestion would work in that vein.

But that would render the whole thing pointless. His second fastest time could be 1/100s slower and would then count. Therefore i assume whoever wrote the rules had the common sense to dictate that the drivers fastest time MUST be used for the qualifying position.

But if it's had 2 seconds added it's unlikely to be his fastest time.

It all seems a little too convenient that this starts happening now that Shumi is getting closer!! Mass dampers suddenly outlawed, then re-instated anf then Mr Cool suddenly "losing" it!!

Am I the only cynic here with suspicious thoughts about the FIA wanting to make the championship a little more exciting? Or am I way off target??

A quarter of an hour to go before qualifying and still no news on whether Schumacher (M) will get a penalty for overtaking under red flags this morning.

Edit: Just heard that Schmacher has a 2 second penalty too.

You may be disappointed. The Cheatmeister looks like getting a 2sec penalty.
