I was there spectating on the sunday and to you guys for some great racing, I haven't been so entertained for ages!

Oh and a double to the sideways mini!

On sundays race we had slight problem with out throttle, which was every time we turned right the car accelerated, Tony Jardine ( our second driver ) still managed a 1:48

I heard you guys mention that on the commentary, it made me chuckle when you mentioned that you hadn't told Tony Jardine about this slight handling discrepancy!

Im glad you liked it, it was my first time round the track but really enjoyed it, especially drifting it round paddoack hill bend

I dont suppose anyone has any pictures of my brother and i from either race?

according to my home made hgtcc champ table team 44 are currently 7th in their class and 26th overall!

Watched the races on both Saturday and Sunday... all good stuff!

TEAM 44 - I was the guy who stopped for a quick chat when you were loading the car back onto the trailer... it was great to see the car up close having only previously seen it on an earlier thread in this forum.

guru_1071, winston_no1 - you guys are a legend, everyone at Paddock Hill Bend loved your style and you got a better reception than the race winner ..... I have some video clips that I've yet to upload, but should be some good sideways action!!

cheers for that fozzi, both me and my brother choose to do the hgtcc in the mini as it gave us a chance to be on the track with some really nice cars. we know we arnt going to win and will get lapped by most of them, but to us its about going out and having a go!

we have both been surprised by how popular the minis are with the crowds, both ours and the faster two tone blue one driven by the boyd/banks pairing - i think people like to see the david and goliath battles that only exist as black and white photos from the sixties!

we also take some satisfaction in having the thinnest wheels (4.5" the smallest engine (1071cc) and been the only car with less than 100 bhp (86!).

its great fun, and we pray for rain as that really upsets the grid, we managed to finish 8th at a wet donington the other month!

Out of interest, with regards to guruspeed-racing.co.uk, were the heritagegtcc.co.uk site ok with you hi-jacking their site as I wouldn't mind doing something similar from my site ? Don't want to do it if they are going to get funny, who did you have to speak to ? Thanks
