Jaguar XKR GT3
Discussion
Don't you just love Ford? No sooner have they put Aston Martin up for sale that they approve the XKR for GT3 racing to go up against the DBRS9. Admittedly, its not a factory backed effort (yet) but I'm sure they will be watching with a lot of interest. If the Evo road test of the XKR is anything to go by, it is a pretty well engineered piece of kit in road trim, so hopefully that will translate to success on the race track (still don't like the bonnet vents though)
Have a look: www.racecar.co.uk/apexmotorsport/index.htm
I know some people behind this, they will make it a success

There are a lot of now proven cars in this class e.g. Viper, Porsche, F430 (getting a performance break), Aston, the Ascaris...so anyone bringing a new car is going to have to have it really sorted out of the box. Or use the first year as a learning year in Brit GT before trying to move to FIA GT3 as Lotus/Cadena did last year.
It will be interesting to see how the SK does.
