I really do wonder when the TV networks are going to come down on Youtube with the proverbial legal "ton of bricks". The site is another "Napster in Waiting".

For some reason I take exception to the vultures that flock as soon as news emerges of an online video of a fatal accident.
It's interesting, I suppose, that I have no qualms in seeing what might be a far more outwardly excessive crash, as long as I know the driver survived. Fatal crashes are often visually less explosive, as the energy is put into the driver, rather than into a corner of the chassis that results in survivable flamboyant barrel-rolls, etc.
Perhaps I feel that people should look at survival and "success over the odds" rather than a tragic loss? Or, as mentioned on the last thread of F1 deaths, perhaps it's because I just don't want to be slowed down!
I do seem rather miserable today, so take my posts with a dose of NaCl.

I know there's a lot of stuff I don't want to see on the net so I don't go and look at it.
It is very sad when things like this happen, BUT, they're racing drivers, they know the risks & what CAN happen.
The only reason I can see for removing the link is out of respect, but I fail to see how it is DISrespectful to view that footage, or what exactly removing the link will achieve?
