Lotus 49 team colours advice
Discussion
can anyone reccommend where I can get a replica set of decals made "Team Lotus" based on the Lotus 49 1967 colour scheme.
as shown below.
and paint codes for the British racing Green / Yellow .
As a winter project I have the Lotus 20/22 stripped down and would like to repaint the body in the 1967 team colours
thanks

Try Classic Team Lotus - they might be able to help.
Tamiya (the model company) do a nice 1/20 scale model of the 1964 1.5 litre Lotus 33 - however they probably give paint references linked to the nearest equivalent in the Tamiya paint range.

Ask the same question on the historic sections of www.ten-tenths.com
The original car would have been hand painted with the "decals" done by a signwriter.
Although they are getting a bit thin on the ground, there are still a few traditional signwriters out there that would be able to do this sort of thing. There was a chap based in Upminster called Peter Nunn that used to do historic car livery but that was quite a few years ago so don't know if he's still around.
Failing that, most modern sign companies can provide vinyl cut decals for not a lot of money.

Best bet would be to ring Classic Team Lotus 01953 601626 or go to www.classicteamlotus.co.uk
