Hi,
Does anyone have a list of confirmed drivers for 2007,
So far all I can seem to find is
Ferrari - Kimi & Massa
Renault - Fisi & Kovaleinin
Red Bull - DC & Webber
Spyker - Albers & ????
Toyota - ???? (ralf schumacher ???)
Mclaren - Alonso, have they confirmed a second driver yet???
BMW - Kubica ?? and Heidfeld
Honda - Button & Rubens
Is Rosberg cofirmed for a drive next year, there are a few drivers for the bottom teams who need to be dropped!!!
Cheers
Stuart

Rumoured to be Gary Paffett if the right deal can be done. Rumours also still going round that Anthony Davidson will be going to Super Aguri next year. They're probably just delaying the announcement until they can find some long lost Japanese branch to his family tree.

Ferrari - Kimi & Massa - (both signed up)
Renault - Fisi & Kovaleinin - (both signed up)
Red Bull - DC & Webber - (both signed up)
Spyker - Albers & possibly Paffett
Toyota - Trulli & Schumacher R (both signed up)
Mclaren - Alonso & Hamilton hopefully
BMW - Kubica and Heidfeld (both signed up)
Honda - Button & Rubens (both signed up)
Super Aguri - Sato & Davidson (strongly rumoured)
STR - Liuzzi & Speed (both signed up)
Williams - Wurz & Rosberg (both signed up)
Bold, yet to be confirmed.

Found that Toyota confirmed Trulli & Ralf,
Ralf I guess because he is on a massive contract that they wolnt want to just write off but he really isnt worth the money he is paid (IMO).
How long can Toyota warrant the taem budget if they keep performing so badly.
Still cant find anything about Mclarens second driver, they must not said who will be with Alonso yet!

I don't think it's Toyota. Rather, it's probably Ralf and Trulli who aren't up to scratch.Ralf I guess because he is on a massive contract that they wolnt want to just write off but he really isnt worth the money he is paid (IMO).

Ref Toyota - 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other. Everyone knows that Trulli can't perform if the car isn't exactly to his liking and that Ralf loses interest if things aren't going his way. Toyota's 2006 car really only worked on medium downforce circuits and that is unaceptable for a team that ploughs the amount of money that it does into F1.
The 2nd Spyker seat has to go to the man with the largest stash. Viso has a chunk of money from a Venezualan bank, Monteiro has the national budget of Portugal behind him and Gary Paffett...he has a stall in Romford Market selling lingerie (allegedly)...
Davidson has the Aguri drive - I just can't understand why they haven't announced it yet

That woudl be great: 5 British drivers in the race. Superb!

I think it is clearly the car that is not performing. IMO in F1 these days the driver does not play as big a part in the overall scheme of things as they have in the past. No matter how good the driver, if you put them in a poor car they will not be winning races.

Haven't Mclaren/Mercedes been known to fund drivers seats in lower teams to school them for a potential move up to the first team proper?
I'm not sure that they have in F1 - they wanted to push Direxiv for all sorts of logistical reasons and did run Haberfeld and Heidfeld in F3000 IIRC, but not sure about their doing this in F1. They have made it plain that they won't stand in the way of Paffett if he finds a drive - that stops well short of funding him though.

Which could be quite interesting since Sato finished 10 last weekend.
Yes I know a lot of people fell off or otherwise succumbed but there were a few still moving behind him. Which suggests they are making useful progress and with a driver having the testing experience of Davidson it might just become rather useful.
