Day 1 of the 2006 Roger Albert Clark Rally. The event started with 2 stages at the Great Yorkshire showground before heading off into the Forests.


Jimmy McRae & Andy Richardson in the Stobart sponsored Ford Escort RS 1800...



Steve Perez & Peter Martin in the unmistakable VK Lancia Stratos. Unfortunately, the last time we saw them on the 2nd Dalby stage, the car seemed to be struggling somewhat..





There was a fine selection of MK1 Escorts....





Another Lancia, this time it's a Fulvia crewed by Steve & Tony Graham...



It's not very often you see 2 cars close together on a Rally...

Excellent pics, but - Godammit! I KNEW there was something i had to do this weekend, im up at dalby twice a month on my mtb, had seen the signs.

Cant beleive I forgot to go up!

Wonderfull photo's, I was keen to see the Lancia's but the Stratos was a bit sick when it went buy us late on in Dalby 2. I am told they were stuck in second, if you check the results they must have fixed it because it was setting top 5 times in the last few stages.

The Fulvia's a lovely Car, but sadly outlassed by the Escorts. Winning it's class though...... even if it seems to be the only one in it!

Great pictures again, Geoff. I keep meaning to get along to this but it always seems to clash with something else, unfortunately (BTaP this year). Maybe next year...

i was marshalling on both runs through Langdale. I a have marshalled on all 3 years and it just keeps getting better
