Sagaris body, which TVR model chassis would fit?

Which TVR model chassis could be made to accept sagaris body?

I know that a Cerb chassis could be used, checked with John Reid, and obviously the Tuscan racer fits, so presumably they both the have longer wheel base than the Chimarea and Griff chassis?

The only chassis that will fit without modification to the shell is the speed six T350/Sag (and presumably Tamora).

The V8 Tuscan racer chassis can be made to fit with significant modifications to the shell. By that I mean removal of all floors, transmission tunnel, rear deck.. etc. Its a lot of work.

I can't see the Cerb chassis ever fitting due to the longer wheelbase. Unless you shorten the chassis.

You can add Tuscan speed6 chassis to that list

I'd have thought a cerb chassis was significantly longer, to either stretch the body or cut the chassis.

The chim/griff chassis has a shorter wheelbase than the Tuscan Racer.

one way or another whith a tubular chassis and a grp body you will eventually get them to fit. if you want to make life easier i'd probably go for a speed6 chassis and spend the time getting your prefered engine to fit.

someone has fitted a sb chevy to a tuscan speed 6 and platicman is putting an lsx derivative in speed6 chassis.

Its about time someone did a tamora, these sags are getting common

Not quite. I think the Tuscan wheel base is 20 mm too short for the shell

I always thought that Wheeler should have offered a Tamora rebody kit for the Tuscans to pump a bit of life into the series and give a lift to the road car. With a slightly revised rear end treatment (i.e. a small spoiler and a diffuser) it would have looked good.

Thanks guys, currently own Cerb, but day dreaming about building some kind of special when I build my bigger garage, raiding the parts bin of older TVR models and using some kind of V8, either Cerb AJP or LSx. Sag body does look the business.

so to summaries, seems that:

All speed six engined models T350/Sag (and presumably Tamora), but not Tuscan SP6 chassis should fit ok.

V8 Tuscan racer chassis can be made to fit with significant modifications to the shell.

Cerb chassis is too long
Griff & Chim chassis too short.

I suppose shortening a cerb chassis wouldn't be out of the question, if done buy a competent engineer, could retain AJP8 and running gear, presumably shell floor would need extensive modification as in the case of using Tuscan racer chassis.

Food for thought, if anymore of you have done any of the above would be interesting to hear more!

No, any SP6 chassis would fit without too many problems.

Any 'short' V8 chassis (Tuscan racer, Griff/Chim) would fit with significant modifications to the insides of the shell.
