A lovely little video ...testing for Williams , Mclaren & Toleman....just as the top teams were starting to jostle for his signature...and blow me if that didn`t look like he was hanging the back end out on the way in...

F1 is so dull compared to those days, he was almost going into some of those corners backwards!

where ?
I missed that!

looked like a lot of talk and a few corners in an f1 car to me.
Senna in the toleman at the end of the year, testing on the same tyres as Mclaren had used all that season where he went even quicker than the mclaren drivers ( in the toleman)
Now THAT would be worth watching!

Didn't it all look so un-high tech back then.

A nice find, thanks. Pity I can't speak Portugeuse.

Thanks. I enjoyed that. Don't Cossie DFVs sound glorious? Much better than the high pitched screamers we have today. And the MP4 looked lovely too.

Right, where's this year's Thoroughbred Grand Prix series schedule...scratchchin

The clip of Frank talking shows just how short-sighted he was. Don't think Williams have ever really recovered from the death of Senna - Frank alwas seems too tightfisted to sign - or more importantly - hang onto the best drivers.

so funny how it looks like Senna is sitting on a high chair in the cockpit, compared to how low drivers sit today.

That's the low cockpit sides which were standard on F1 cars for year - which ultimately were partly responsible for his demise.

Was it not a blow to his forehead that was ultimately responsible for his death?

I'm unsure that they current higher cockpit sides would be protection enough. They're there to restrict the driver's head movement.
