THere's something about it in this month's Track and Race Cars magazine: www.trcmagazine.com
Don't know when the new issue is out though and I con't remember the details of the story.

The operating lease has been sold so that "Clear Channel" can concentrate on their music business. Tom Wheatcroft still owns the Freehold. New owners are supposed to be "Motorsort enthusiasts" and rumour has it that they are the same people or similar people who expressed an interest a couple of years ago. Contracts are due to be signed at the end of Jan, when hopefully there will be more details.
BTW. There's only 3 Ns in Donington.

I have read in the press that Donnington has been sold to mysterious buyer. Does any one have any information as to who this is and any likely impact that will have on racing, track days or racing schools?
Simon Gillette, Robert Fearnall, Kevin Wheatcroft and an Asian gentleman with a pot of gold ( I assume! ). Things should improve, because not only are these people business minded, they also have an interest in the future of motorsport.

WELL we've got no dates there this year despite having a full card of support races avid to go - apparently there will be a lot more emphasis on bikes...
I think that the BRSCC have seriously downplayed their involvement at DP too, probably on the grounds of cost - DP was always was one of the more expensive places to race at (at I only live a mile away so transport cost were not the issue!).
Interestingly the MSV race club have a race meeting there. Is Jonathon Palmer taking over the world?

Yep, WSB is back for the first time since '01 (as well as Silverstone and Brands)
Top class! Must have been one of the last times I saw bike racing at Donny when Foggy was still on a Ducati. Remember crawling under the fence at the Old Hairpin, ripping my shirt but getting picks of Foggy as he went passed on the slow down lap of race 2.
Met him last year at a book signing and got him to sign one of the pictures. He immediately knew when and where it was taken! Top top bloke.
