Less than a month to go, (18th March) some people have been impressing, others keeping quiet. Most not running with all their aero kit on to keep a few surprises for the race weekend.

So who's your money on in Melbourne for the win?

I'm going for Lewis Hamilton, his confidence is up after good testing he has no expectation to win on his shoulders from the team and a good car under him.

I think young Hamilton will do well in qualifying (and probably the race) but for some reason I have a hunch he won't be at the finish.

Hm, you could be right, although it will probably be reliability rather than Hamiltons ability.

If he does finish, it will be in the top ten

I think the Ferraris will be hard to beat- what appears to be a very quick car on long runs with a well established working relationship with Bridgestone. I'd expect to see the Mclarens somewhere behind that with Williams and BMW fighting for the next batch of points.

Honda and Red Bull will probably have a good scrap, too.

in all seriousness, you cant write off that newey fella. out of all the F1 personel you would want on your side, he would be at the top of the list. DC is a strong driver. the renault engine doesnt break that often.... stranger things have happened at sea.

getting excited about the new season but the test sessions dont proove anything because you never know whos runing or using what and i havent seen any one driver being the fastest its been several different drivers but as usual when the green light is on on race day its a different story!! but i hope a brit wins.

We've seen it all before, pre-season tests offer teams the chance to throw in some blinders for column inches in the mags but come race day it all goes pear-shaped.

However, if BMW really are displaying their true potential, I think Kubica could be an outside bet for the race win...

Sorry, nb. I forgot about the hours of pre-race bullsh1t - in which case, I doubt I'd even see the start. . . . sleep
