That Broadspeed Escort was quick as well as nice, made the Ferrari 206 Dino look a bit silly - caught it through the corners and passed up the straight. Escort still has the back seats in it too - and this under the bonnet:



Not sure about the origins of the yellow Sierra but AFAIK its a genuine Group A RS500 - 700bhp Camaro couldn't stay with it on the straights anyway.






ETA: The Tooheys 1000 sticker on the side would suggest an ex-Aussie car

Looks like a superb event and what a truly eclectic mix of cars on the track!

Shell was Dick Johnson. Moffatt didnt spend much time in Sierras but when he did they were sponsored by ANZ bank or *possibly* Cenovis vitamins, though that might just have been his RX7s. MazdaRX7 will know...
