Just been reading this:-

Honda's senior technical director Shuhei Nakamoto has told autosport.com that major improvements to the car's aerodynamic package and also other mechanical changes would be made for the Sepang test.

"There will be a big upgrade at the Sepang test, and also a revision to the suspension," he said.

Nakamoto said he was pessimistic about Honda's chances of a strong showing in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix - where he doubted they would be able to qualify inside the top 10.

"At the moment we are ahead of Red Bull and Toyota, but behind the rest," he said. "I know BMW have been using a non-2007 wing (in testing) so they lose one or two tenths, but we will still be behind. It will be a massive struggle to get into Q3 (qualifying for the top ten)."

Looks like they are lining up the excuses for Button already... Still thankfully with Hamilton looking like he will be quick straight away perhaps that might encourage Button to focus on the car and less on his beard and hairstyle.

Although come on we must have a sporting wager for the first race...

My tenner is on Massa, pole and race win with Button a DNF and Q7.

They are probably just sandbagging this year. Instead of running light and hitting the headlines in pre-season testing like previous years.

Is this a new thread? Sure I remember reading about Honda's car problems several weeks ago...?

With that livery they dont deserve to be up front hehe

I also hope they told Button he can't have that nice fast NSX anymore, and from now on has to be seen in a Prius hehe

I have a scenario.
Alonso DNF due to car breaking as per usual Mclaren.
Kimi DNF due to abusing car/lack of concentration.

Button cruises to another win.

I don't think he is a great, but he is very good. His ultra smooth style is kind on the machinery and he has demonstrated his ability to carve through a field on several occasions. In the second half of last season he got a lot of points. He will definitely get a lot of podiums this year, unless Honda really have made a mess of the car.

Thats what worries me, As things are for the start of the season I don't have much faith in the car. Jenson proved last year he is capible, fingers crossed the team can now do the same!

Under that scenario I see Massa walking it - unless Kimi takes him out - now that would be a good start to the end of his career!

I'll accept your wager - my tenner is with either Fezza.
