A few minutes in.... does he sound rather a lot like this man to anyone else?
- looking suitably bored for a man being spoken at by The Cock.

WOW that was fantastic, cant say I recognise the voice though.
So does anyone around here have any idea on who the STIG might be?

current stig IS ben collins, previous stig WAS perry macarthy....
and has been other people at various other times....(Neil Cunningham, Heiki Kovelwhatisname etc....)
I thought we'd decided this years ago - there is and never has been just one Stig?

Please be joking.
Not sure if Neil's ever done it (he's a bit, well, short), but everyone seems to know about Ben these days - apart from casual TG observers, of course.
That was Ben Collins that she interviewed but he is only wee! When he was the "star in a resonably priced car" he was almost as tall as JC. I was sure it is Ben Collins but why isn't he driving anything professionally nowadays, since he can beat Nigel Mansell, Mark Weber and Damon Hill?

He can go marginally quicker than them in a Suzuki, having had the benefit of hundreds (if not thousands) of laps of the TG circuit. Webber, Mansell, Hill, etc, get about a dozen laps and have no previous experience of the circuit. If they managed to get a top class FWD racer (Yvan Muller, Tarquini, etc) and gave them 50 laps they would lower that time by at least 1 second.
I believe he races in the British GT series for Embassy Porsche - maybe thats been and gone by now Im not sure.
But he was on TG before doin a bit of driving - the Bowler Wildcat against a downhill skateboarder if I recall... and he put the rally car backwards through a fence, which made me chuckle.
He's no slouch tho you lot! He was pretty close to Sato's pace when they were teammates in f3... just never got that break / Honda backing(!!!) that he deserved.
But then being the Stig isn't exactly slumming it now is it?!

Your right, he was with Embassy in 05 I believe, and yes he is a quick pedler, also is on that TV show Vroom Vroom, crap show but some nice cars.

When Top Gear had a team entered for the 2003 2CV 24 hours, The Stig was supposed to part of the driving team. At the last minute, however, he couldn't make it and was replaced by...Ben Collins...

I walked passed him at that event. Thats why I came to the conclusion that it can't be him because he is too wee to be the Stig!

Keep up at the back Spoony
I've wondered for years, every time I asked you said you were unsure. You know I ain't got the experiance around the pit lanes you've got. Mind you i'm doing my home work and trying to catch up, lol

Trust me, i'm not a casual TG observer, every sunday and most nights on UKG2. I just haven't got enough pitlane experiance to recognise that many drivers by voice. Working on it mind you.....
She is very cute indeed...and hands on in places too....bet the guy in the hi-viz jacket was pleased!
I did like his T-shirt though "I killed the Stig"
Jorinde Moll is her name-see here
No idea who Ben Collins is though!
