Britsport and Britcars mix it

Well done to James for allowing cars from Britsports and Britcars to race together.

Would be good if the Wilhire 24 hours could be one of those races.

If Britcar is so over-subscribed that competitors are being told which races they can enter, then where exactly do an extra 20 or so prototype sportscars fit in?

Doesn't make sense to me.

A completely separate race series, that's how I read it. here's what it says on the EERC site;

European Endurance Racing in Europe for 2008

We have been asked to look at the possibilty of a Series in
Europe at 6-7 Tracks for GT3-CUP-PRODUCTION CLASS 1 AND
BRITSPORTS Type cars. 3-4 hr Races.

These races would be on the same lines as VdeV.

Exactly - how does that work?? I mean the only reason Britcar was over subscribed was due to limitations on grid size so how can these Britsport cars be fitted in?

The two cars are so different in their strengths and dynamics (straight line speed, braking, cornering) that racing them together is pure madness. A 360bhp car that weighs 650kg and has more downforce than the combined weight of car & driver - racing against 1300kg 380bhp Porsche 911 GT3`s with less than no downforce and no rear visibility. Christ knows what fodder a civic / MG / etc might offer to the mix.

Oooo yessss. I want to be a spectator for that little lot. I`ve got £100 to sponsor the underside of someone`s car and acme no-win-no-fee ambulance chasers aren`t far behind.

Le Mans has very strict rules policing speed diferentials and the slowest saloon cars are the absolute fastest cars in Britcar.

Why not combine motorcycles on the grid as well.
