Wrong helmet photo

What's going on here? Is it photoshoped?

Thats David Coulthard and he had borrowed schumis helmet for this race as his was misting up. It was Monaco in 1996 and before they fell out for a while after schumacher ttted Coulthard in the rain at Spa.

That was nice of him. You'd think Coulthard would have had a spare helmet.

He probably did but there was a fault with the way his breath caused the visor to mist up and was more of an intrinsic design flaw, could have been due to the humidity as its wet in the one picture and dry in the other, I think the race began in the wet but I couldnt be sure, it was 11 years ago and I was 14.

It was the design of the helmet rather than a fault with his own I think. Schumacher used the same manufacturer but different design so agreed to lend one to DC.

DC used arias but schumi used bells and apparently DC got on with the guy who was in charge of the bell helmets and got a loan of one which happened to be a schumi one. It is part of Ron Dennis's collection now.
