Yep I spotted that, on Alonso's car wasn't it? Would have been funny to see him drive off with it on.

Also after Brundle had stated that Alonso was going fast right from the off (Q3), Allen tried to explain the difference between Alonso and the rest of the field as being on the softer tires Even though one of the fezzers was also on the soft tyres.

No.
A Q2 time is usually faster, because they're on light fuel loads, whilst if you make it to Q3 you have to be on the fuel load with which you'll start the race.
