Renault F1 Elvington Today

Any F1 fans near Elvington, I followed 4 Renault F1 trucks in there yesterday, They are booked for the main runway all day.

So how comes Renault (presumably F1 or World Series cars) can run there...but TVR's are banned?

You'll probably find that (like most race tracks in the country) they are allowed X-amount of unlimited noise days per year.

Noise limits also tend to be slacker during the week, since people aren't in their houses.

On a related note, the Javelin days at Elvington now have a 95db drive by limit

You will probably find that they have deeper pockets than the average TVR driver, and probably a slitly more reliable car too!!!!

Mclaren used to do their straight line test there but now do it on a runway on some island in the Med which is apparently one of the longest strips in Europe. Seems strange that Renault could get approval at Elvington but Mclaren couldn’t.
