Schumacher to race in F1 again?

Martin Brundle made a comment during the race (something I caught while fast forwarding it!!) that he felt he could see MS back behind the wheel in F1. We've seen several champions come back, some with more success than others - Lauda, Prost, Mansell... do you think he might be tempted back or do you think he'll end up in the DTM or even return to his roots by doing the 24hr Le Mans race?

Not safe enough!? - Theres a lot more bodywork around you in an Audi R10/Peugeot 908 and it dosen't corner nearly as fast as an F1 car.
If I had won f1 as many times as he did i would definately have LM on my to do list.

The man is a legend, and no i am not a fan at all, but facts remain that he is a major draw , even a mear appearance this weekend had the press and tv in a frenzie.
if he ever raced again he would walk in at a very high level, and would attract the big names ie ross brawn etc coz his sponsorship clout will pay whateverthey want to get them there

MS has very little to prove, as has already been said he has done Le Mans (and by all accounts was highly entertaining trading blows with HHF).
What I think might tempt him back is if Hamilton blows everyone into the weeds this year (which I think is unlikely) and he sees it as a great challenge.
The only thing that will be wrong with this is if he comes back as a no 1 driver, I'd like to see him as an equal but I feel that won't happen.

Of course this is all speculative but..
Ferrari took an option on KR some time ago (2005 I seem to remember), KR was never going to be a no2 so MS was told be equal or go....
When KR confirmed he'd take the drive MS had to leave..
Or so they say
So in some respects KR did our MS. I bet Ferrari are kicking themselves

Not much chance of him renewing his "friendship" with J-P Montoya then... that I would love to see, and would get MS some respect from a lot of people, me included!
I'd be happy to relinquish my seat in the #59 Team Air Ambulance car at Rockingham to him if he was interested....

Not really, Schuey was only ever going to have a couple of years left in him, you can't turn back the clock. Seeing as he would never go head to head with a potential champion, Ferrari were never going to be able to have the luxury of a learning year with one, having to groom Massa as a solid driver instead (and so far he's done better than expected but the jury's still out on the remainder of the year). Since there were going to be upheavals in the team, better to get them out of the way and rebuild for the future and as it turns out they're doing pretty well in the circumstances.

this is the man that re wrote the book on F1
he has more records than any other driver ever. not forgetting that he wasted 2 or 3 years while ferrari were getting their act together.
7 times world champion the biggest sportsman in germany , the most famous german on the planet who resurected a very sorry ferrari( the biggest name in motor sport)
never looked off the pace, his tyres were shite for 2 years and that probably sowed the seeds of retirement ie frustration. at his time of life what was going to eclipse all that?
make no mistake he left ferrari because he wanted to, hestopped because he wanted to.
