Can Dan the man from Bucks win again? Or Franchitti? Both Brits are in the first 6 in qualifying.

There are 3 women in the race. Can the gorgeous Danica become the first woman to win at the brickyard?

It's shown live on tape at 8pm on channel6 according to the guide, nor on ESPN channnels.

Bit late now anyway I guess!

Got to love Danica. She lapping Buddy Lazier who almost takes her out (great work by his spotter, not), she has to lift, loses momentum and loses 3 places but still catches him back up and gives him the bird at 220mph

She was 3rd at the rain stoppage, finished 8th overall.


Plus if you click on the main Indy website - http://www.indycar.com/ and go to the videos section you can see the crash on lap 162 which just preceded the final stoppage as it started raining. The touch between Wheldon and Marco Andretti that caused Marco's car to turn over. Not seen on the European feed because of the satellite problem.

"Marco Andretti admitted that he was fortunate to escape his violent Indianapolis 500 accident with nothing worse than bruises."

Not really. Although he was planning to retire after last years race (40th anniversary of Jim Clarks win). I don't think his career is in need of saving. He's in the position to race or not to race on his terms.

I wasn't aware he harboured any thoughts of retiring last year....for a long tme it seemed that his AGR drive was in the balance - arguably Motorola's bankrolling of Patrick saved him for this season.

"His terms" - I presume you mean from a financial perspective?...he is in no other position to dictate to Kim Green and to my mind has long been the dead wood in that team.
