Was it just me or did those Ferrari's sport a rather nice shade of red this weekend. I have never liked the red/orange hue they have used over more recent years which has pandered to their title sponsor, but the bodywork this weekend at Monaco was certainly sporting a much darker and deeper red hue, more in tune with classic Ferrari's. Added to that, the subtle sheen from what might have been a metallic finish to it as well, certainly looked bloody nice on screen.

This is because they now have no affiliation with Vodafone, so have gone from Vodafone red back to Ferrari red

Not Vodaphone, I was talking more about the tobacco title sponsor.

However, this new darker red is so much nicer me thinks smile

I noticed that too, but I had convinced my self that I was either a) going mental, or b) it was the cameras.

However, if it is a different colour, I think it looks great.

Perhaps Ferrari currently sports the darker red to indicate how embrassed they are at having to display their main sponsor's logos.

Hang on, that would indicate that they have a conscience wouldn't it?

So it must be that they'd run out of the new stuff & had to make do with some they'd got still left from years ago.
