I remember an interview with Jackie Stewart where he said during his career he lost 40 friends to accidents

Are there any figures for the amount of racing drivers and which cars they were driving at the time.

which manufacturer has caused the most fatalities.

A very grim list.

And then we have the F1 drivers who died in non-F1 racing accidents, and then we have the F1 drivers who died in road accidents, and then we have the F1 drivers who died in non-automotive accidents, and then we have the countless non-F1 drivers who died in racing accidents...

I don't know why, but it is always Keith O'Dor who springs to my mind when people start talking about racing driver deaths. Never Senna.

At training in Feb a list was put up of the drivers killed on track in the last 10/15 years or so... a depressingly long list... and far to many caterham drivers on that list.

Whenever someone mentions San Marino 1994 - I always think of Roland Ratzenberger, the guy killed the day before Senna.
It might be kinda crappy for the family with everyone seemingly forgetting him within 24 hours because someone "more important" dies.
