For the record, I think he's right...but have Red Bull ready signed him to a watertight contract?...You bet they have...and will he be driving an STR next year?...you bet he won't....

Agreed, with reservations.

I think Bourdais will be better than Fisichella. But other CART drivers have come and gone without showing superstar performance in F1. I also think Bourdais has reached his peak form at the moment, and will go into decline in a few years.

Seb's different - he's had a good European grounding, knows the tracks, is more mature and rounded - he's also extrememly quick and the best thing in Champ Car by far.

As to peak form - they said that about Mansell in 1986 too...JV made a success of the the move and I'm struggling to think of anyone else other than Michael Andretti who has made the move.

I was at Silverstone when Franchitti had his Jaguar test and he just seemed to totally fail to get to grips with the car - but that was in a Jaguar and you never know what the car set-up was like.

Good point - arguably he peaked in F1...just for the wrong team...I still think he has great car control but can't string a decent set of consistent results together - temperament is questionable too...

Doesn't count - his talent beyond reproach/question. Nice guy too and big cojones...although some argue that Peterson played the team game to allow him his 1978 title
