The 'ring 24hrs report (potentially with spoilers)
Discussion
I watched about 12 hors of the live streaming, with the Radio Le Mans commentary.
Great race with plenty of interest and incident, won by the fastest car deservedly
200 plus starters with cars from full race Astons and Porsches worth 100s of ks to cars probably worth less than a grand driven by pure amateurs.
Fantastic stuff

Fantastic stuff
12th overall, 6th in class SP 7 - Baird/Bell/Quinn/Quinn (Porsche 997 RSR)
60th overall, 1st group N - Rollinson/Owers/McKay/Eady (Civic type-R)
68th overall, 2nd group N - McGovern/McIntyre/Martin/Taylor (Civic type-R)
Not a bad effort out of 220ish cars and 157 finishers. Some impressions from the Nordschleife:
Manthey wins the 24 hours at the Ring...

Second placed Zakspeed Viper...

Close fight between third placed Land Motorsport and Manthey at Hohe Acht...

Whoaw at Pflanzgarten 1...

Whoaw at Pflanzgarten 2... driver got away shaken and stirred...

Jumping out of Eschbach...

Brünnchen 1...

Wippermann...

Brünnchen 2...

Crikey what happened to the Astons? Highest one to finish was 62 (just behind a Fiesta
)
Am guessing all 4(?) had a fair few reliability issues.
They are Trucks? Even it they had run fine they woul dnever have gotten near the RSR's.

The Phoenix DBRS9 was running right at the front before engine failure late on Sunday morning. That was a GT3+, with more aero, different dampers and, I suspect, a bit less weight.
An incredible race and great to have the RLM team providing English words to go with the live streaming (including Graham Goodwin, who frequents PH occasionally). It was like Test Match Special on Radio 4, but with less cake. Thanks Graham - top job!

An RSR was always going to win round here.
That's really not the case, IMHO.
