Help! F1 Campsite Now Closed Due To Rain

Just checked http://www.grandprixcamping.co.uk/ and they have closed their site because of the foul weather.

Can't find any other campsites that are taking bookings, they are saying first come first served. Starting to panic that the crap weather will mean other sites will have to close or the few that are open will fill straight away.

We have hired a LWB van, thinking that the ground may be too wet to pitch a tent, but wont make it down to Silverstone until about midnight Thursday.

Any ideas?

Yeah, but where could I park it within walking distance of the circuit?

There's a place in Towcester where artics park up overnight - Tove Valley Business Park, Old Tiffield Road, NN12 6PF. There's a Tesco open until 10pm. Then I guess cycle or bus to the circuit or ebay a parking pass?

I spoke to Whittlebury this morning and they said their pitches are fine.

Most have them have been booked but some still available on first come first served basis. They close for new arrivals at 9pm tomorrow and open again at 7am, so hoping to be first in line Friday morning.

Towcester will be the back up, just not much night life I suspect?
