David Coulthard will remain at the Red Bull Racing team for another season after renewing his contract with the Austrian-owned squad. The 36-year-old Scot, the eldest driver on the current grid, will partner Mark Webber next year, meaning the line-up will remain unchanged. Hardly suprising really, Webber has hardly blown him away this year has he.Way I see it, he is doing a good solid job for them, makes sence to keep the continuity with DC and Adrian...
MW is another issue, he seems to fall asleap during a race and either off or something equaly daft, yet is capable of some good qualifing performances.
I would think they really need a young gun to partner with DC to get the team forward.

I think Red Bull have become stale and stagnent this season, they have't improved much on last season, if at all and having 2 more senior drivers was a bad decision on their behalf. The need to develop more young drivers under the wing of DC, like they did with Klien. Maybe bring Scott Speed up for a chance in the senior team? Liuzzi had his chance and he hardly impressed anyone.

That'd be interesting.. but I can imagine the radio conversations between DC and Stewart Roden (SE team owner)! 
Good that DC has re-signed though, RBR need some stability at the moment...
Webber is managed by Flavio and am sure Flavio negotiated a strong contract...DC is a solid if unspectacular driver, but works well with Adrian Newey. The question is.....will they take a gamble in twelve mths time and go for two flyers....Bruno Senna, Paffett, Davidson....or even Bourdais!!

"Once AJ started to win and challenge him, they started going at each other verbally through the press. Now, [Bourdais] has Robert challenging him and he has a verbal confrontational showdown with him. I think it's just in his nature."
Asked how he felt Bourdais would fit into F1, Tracy claimed that 'based on his personality, he'll just be a very unhappy person to be around', admitting that.he was interested to see how the atmosphere that pervaded Mont-Tremblant would spill over into his home town of Toronto this weekend.

As much as I'd like to support my compatriot, Mark Webber, he needs to go. DC is a consistent performer and hugely experienced, while MW is just mediocre and doesn't bring much into the team.
I was hoping that Vettel will get a drive with RBR next year. BMW would probably want to keep Heidfeld and Kubica while their car is improving at its current pace.

I find it strange with Red Bull. They have a decent budget, world championship winning designer and engines, and yet seem content to have two drivers who aren't really going to push things forward. Webber is quick over a single lap yet has a habit of falling off and Coulthard is steady but never going to push for a championship.
I think people are underestimating just how hard it is to find 2 drivers who are as fast and consistent as Webber and Coulthard. With the experience they bring to the team and with the team still developing I think there doing completely the right thing keeping 2 consistent performers. This gives them a good base to build the car around and they can easily measure progress.
I think hes a better driver now than when he was with Mclaren too. Webber really should be annihilating him if he was as good as his PR said he was.loneranger said:

I see no good reasons there for him to stay in F1 though. He can still add value as an RBR "ambassador"...they need results, and fast. Hes never going to win another F1 race....for sure...He is a nice person, is quite fast and a good racer.
