Hi all,

Not much going on today after the qualifying so I thought I would muck about with some of my old photos.
So I put some on line here - http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a330/ray_luxury_...
Then click on Silverstone 92 testing album

That was a very good day. When yours truly managed to get a press pass and then got a suntan as we wandered round with no one to stop us, smoked salmon sandwiches for lunch, press conference with Mansell...
Just before the cars and the money started to get silly and Bernie found out about swipe cards and stopped giving press tickets to silly little local papers...

As you can no doubt tell, I'm not a genius with some of photo software so apolgises for the fact that some of them are bigger than others. But I would really like to know what you think of them.

Cheers!beer

Some nice shots there, but on a pedantic note it's De Cesaris smile

Ah that brings back the memories. I was 5, then, yet that era of racing is still more memorable than the dull stretch we've been having recently.

1992: Murray on the mic, Michael on the track and traction-control a dull safety-communist's wet dream. Those were the days.

Hi again,

Thanks for all the great comments. Appreciated!thumbup

Because I've now got the end of this photo scanning/editing/improving business if you check back to the site you will a few pictures of my very first race meeting!! hehe

1984 Brands Hatch, the Last Formula 2 race. Sorry I can't remember all the names but it was 23 years ago so I think I have an excuse.
The Renault 5 Turbo 2 pictures tell a funny story. They were one of the support races and as most of them were European they never had seen Brands before. Which was why the Druids gravel had 7 of them parked there after first practice! The shots I got were of the guy who had a small knock at the top of the hill, got out in a huff, didn't put it in gear, left the wheels pointing the wrong way and....
Well have a look at the pictures.

I will be adding some more through the week in between looking for a job!! Next up Monaco GP 1985, Senna, Lauda, RAMs and Zakspeeds.

God I'm old....weeping

You are old!!! hehe

nice pics.

Got back into the paddock for 15 minutes this year after not having been able to do so since '92 (I think it was) myself.

Shame I never realised how lucky I was back then (youth is wasted on the young) and made more of it frown

Just noticed that Mansell at Monaco in '85 didn't have a 'red five'. I thought he always had that. Anyone know when it started?
