RE: British GT at Brands

Rounds Six & Seven take place on the full Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend (14th and 15th July) with a mouth watering line up of Porsche’s, Ferrari’s, Viper’s, Mosler’s, a Lamborghini, Aston Martin’s and Ascari’s, with Morgan, Ferrari and Porsche being represented in the GTC class.
Oh come on! These are plurals surely, not the possesive. Journalistic standards dropping already...

Google earth shows bridges across the track?
Which one? there are two. one just where they rejoin the Indy track and one further along that goes over the straight towards Hawthorns. (can't recall the name of it atm). They both allow access into the inside of the track and you use these to get to Druids by car.It is possible to walk down to the outside of Hawthorn along the side of the track down a walk way but this is, iirc off limits to those who aren't able to sign on.
if you want to get out there i would suggest walking to the top of Druids, over the bridge there and turn left. that way you will be walking around the inside of the GP track and wont end up getting lynched by a Marshal

If you look at the Motorsport Vision website - Brands Hatch section, you can find a map showing the layout of the whole of Brands Hatch with names of the bends, straights, footpaths, loos, parking, infact everything you need for a day out!!Thanks in advance

rude-boy, I'm not familiar with that pathway. The only one I've seen there leads to the marshall point, not the outside of the corner. The rest is fencing around the rally circuit. I've definitely seen people lazily spectating there, most recently at the BSB.
Hmm. Not sure then. Wonder if Lord S. or one of the other marshalls know?I 'think' that there might be one at the end of the straight up to the first post opposite the turn in point but can't recall there being any access to spectators. If it was a big meet like BSB then there is a fair chance that there were a fair few marshalls, observers, media, etc out there. There is certainly enough room to accomidate them. For the general public though I seem to recall that the GP part is mainly limited to the inside.
As Mrs Hui says, hace a look here and enlarge the map.

and if the weather is kind bring your chairs and cooler bag and have a treck around. it's not oftern these days that proper cars get near the GP track so make the most of it.
