Slightly overdramatic, pretty much every driver with a win on their CV has left F1 after a couple of years in uncompetitive cars. Sounds like he was trying to explain that he's not happy finishing 8th. He's also had a lot of praise from his team from the work he's been putting in behind the scenes, too.
Can't really blame him. How many times can one person keep getting knocked down. To my mind it is only human nature to feel let down, and I am sure it is nothing personal but as he said he is in it to win it and I think he firmly believed that this year he could. Even though it is not Hamilton's fault Hammy is getting a lot of attention and I know I would feel a little put out if the same thing was happening to me. I enjoy watching a great race but I also enjoy all the build up to a race and at the moment there seems to be a lot of very disgruntled people. I would hate to see Button go, but I agree with him, if things don't change then he should leave them to it.
This isn't really news is it? After all the first paragraph says:-
"Jenson Button has sensationally announced he will leave Formula 1 should the performance of his Honda car not significantly improve within the next two years."
I think the reality of his situation is that in two years time if he is still struggling (car or otherwise) then he'll not be in a position to get a compatitive drive anyway. Can anyone really see McLaren/Ferrari/Renault or BMW wanting to employ him?

One of the better drivers currently in F1.
I'd have him and Hamilton in my fantasy team.
Agreed, a better driver, but also think he's just another DC or Irvine. Might one day get close to a championship, but not likely to actually get his hands on it. And the longer it goes on, the more likely drivers like Hamilton, Kovaleinen and Kubica will be introduced to the sport and take the decent drives. Do you think he's been profusely apologising to Frank Williams recently?I'd have him and Hamilton in my fantasy team.

I thought Hamilton was only up there because of his car?I'd have him and Hamilton in my fantasy team.
Have you fallen out of love with Kimi? Or is that a different kind of fantasy team?
It takes more than this to get into my fantasy team.
