Hi All,

As mentioned on an earlier thread all my motor sport pictures are now up at

http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a330/ray_luxury_...

But I need your help!!

If you go to the Assorted F3 80s album there are three cars that I don't have the drivers names for. They are i) The Anson. ii) The Rugby Finance Reynard. iii) The Leyton House Ralt.

Any help would be appreciated and let me know what you think of all the pictures too. smile

Have you had the nose job done?

Ps. The Leyton House Ralt is definitely 1985 Champion Mauricio Gugelmin smile

That's his helmet though, at least it looks like the older version of his later F1 used design here.

If it isn't his, it's one I've seen before.......or since..............scratchchin

Hi Four Wheel,

I've had a look at Gugelmins picture on the web driving an F3 car in 85 and his helmet colours were very slightly different. I can't post it cos I don't know how!cry

He had a mainly red helmet at the front, divided by a yellow stripe and then an orange top. Obiviously this then evolved into the design that he had in F1 when seemed to switch the design around to have a yellow top. If you go look in Silverstone 92 album there is a picture of him in the Jordan.
Although its an old photo my guys helmet seems to be more like gold.

The mystery deepens further....scratchchin

The Anson might be Keith Fine. His helmet design was red white and blue.

The Anson - could be Tim-Lee Davis(sp). Can't find my pictures of him to check the helmet but I know he often tested with a fairly plain helmet.
Edit. I was actually thinking of Tim Davies, but I suppose it still could be T-LD.

The Rugby Finance Reynard - Swedish driver(Guess you new that!) but I can't think which one.

The Leyton House Ralt - pretty sure that is not Gugelmin, helmet is just wrong. Apart from that no idea, sorry.

May be worth an email to someone who was running a team in those days - Kieth Wiggins, Richard Dutton ...?

Thanks steve, I think you maybe right about the Anson. Don't no why but I think the Leyton House car may be a Japanese driver but not a very famous one.

Any more ideas would be happily recieved!smile

Anyway back to business! Are you sure it's an Anson? been doing a bit of searching, and the last Anson used in the UK was the SA6 in '85 (driven by Keith Fine) bit it looks very different from your pic...the mystery deepens!

The mystery driver...

I reckon you're right.

The only photo I could find of Schonstrom, was this... A year(?) earlier than the Rugby photo, but I reckon the helmet design and sponsors on it are the same, what do you think?

ETA: If you put it in reverse, do you reckon the miles will come off!?!

I reckon you could be right, Schonstrom it is. Dig that Flock of Seagulls haircut!!

And about the mileage, I don't know. What I do know is that Mr Rooney will never believe that Sloane's father drives your piece of censored

Better stop now, going seriously off topic. Thanks for all your help on this.
