Excellent event, watched all the races on Saturday which were all very entertaining, these included 70s James Hunt Trophy F1 cars, Pre War Grand Prix racers, group C and even enjoyed a Porsche only race as it included a couple of flame spitting 935s!

Best part of the whole day for me was dusk Endurance Masters race which took place in pouring rain and failing light which made it even more exciting and atmospheric, Silk Cut Jaguars, GT40s and a variety of LM cars from different eras.

I hate to say it, but for me it knocked the Goodwood revival into a cocked hat! far better value for money, excellent facilities like lots of covered grandstands that were accessible to all ticket holders and decent toilets, pretty well free access to all areas and an excellent variety of races

dont tell everyone how good the silverstone classic is, it will end up being on the society calendar, and then it will cost twice as much and be 1/4 as good

i went on saturday and it was an excellent days entertainment, felt a bit sorry for the 70's sports car drivers in the last race, in the rain and while it was getting dark

big balls to drive a t70 at any speed in those conditions
