Might be a race spoiler if you are interested in the race finish (as it's on the clip below) but Dario for the 2nd race running flipped his car over, he is ok no injuries again.

It was quite an eventful race, as well as the Franchitti crash, Franchitti almost running into the back of team mate Danika Patrick entering the pit lane, Patrick showed a fine piece of precision driving after a rear tyre burst after spinning the car existing the pit lane

Although I wonder.....She causes team mate Dario to run wide (maybe) entering the pits he damages his front wing, loses time in the pits and possibly a lap as well. The only thing to save his race is a caution flag, so Michael gets on the radio to Danica telling her to have a harmless spin to the infield leaving the pits, getting the yellow flags thrown and more time for Dario's crew to change his front wing and get him out. She does it too well, flat spots her tyres and stalls. The result for her is in trying to get back to the tail end of the pack at pace so she doesn't lose a lap her tyre bursts.....Allegedly.
Word is that Franchitti will be heading off to sportscars at the end of this season.

Dodging bullets, formation "flying," etc.
Detroit. I've witnessed many outstanding races at Michigan International Speedway - including many during the glory days of open-wheel racing when some of the all-time greats went at it. And as much as I think the place is cool and it's our "home" track and everything, I think the time is right for Indy cars to take a breather from running there. The powers that be at MIS and the IRL don't have an agreement for 2008, so there will be at least a one-year break before the Indy cars return to Michigan. And I hope in the interim that the IRL takes a long, hard look at what transpired last Sunday at Michigan, because that kind of racing is silly and stupid.
Equal cars and open-wheels mean a recipe for disaster on a super speedway, and once again the IRL dodged a bullet when Dario Franchitti emerged unhurt from his trip through the air. It was just pure luck that no one was seriously hurt in the multi-car incident. Restrictor-plate racing in NASCAR is stupid enough, and the only thing that prevents the "big one" from happening more often is that full-bodied racing cars are involved. But formation "flying" in open-wheel Indy cars? It's just a matter of time before disaster strikes. Tony Kanaan could barely celebrate last Sunday after his win because he knew what they were doing during the race was flat-out crazy, and the fact that his good friend escaped serious injury left him shaken afterwards.
Yes, I know, racers ultimately will get in their cars and race. That's what they do. But racing Indy cars on super speedways? With the current package that the IRL is using? With no speed differentiatial among the top cars whatsoever? It's nuts. Cooler heads have to prevail here, folks. The IRL has got to find a better way to do it, or they shouldn't go back.
