World Series By Renault, Donington - a few pics
Discussion
I went too on Saturday, fantastic day out and all for free!
It's a long time since I've seen anything as quick as the World Series and to see all of those cars shooting down Craner curves was fantastic, bring back F1 to Donnington!
Was really busy but somehow I got in and out without any hold-ups (entrance J)-really well organised although I understand the main entrance was a touch busy. Will try to do both days next year.

Went on saturday, Great event apart from being stuck on the M1 for Hour and Half in the jam to get in.
Waste of time getting tickets as you could walk straight in. Will try and spend all week end there next year and take own provisions as we paid £4.50 for one manky sausage and 12 chips.
Nice to hear some proper race engines.

Nearly 2 hours to get out of the car park wasnt a barrel of laughs on the sunday.
There all weekend, love the circuit - why can they bring F1 back to there? Is there a specific reason?
Oh, and damn the saftey car for appearing too often - more JCBs needed.
Cant argue with free though can you?

You mean apart from the crappy facilities, more mud than Glastonbury when it rains and terrible access? Ignoring the back roads, not everyone approaches Donington from the South or west or knows the back roads, access from the M1 is dire. The only reason 1993 is remembered is the first lap and because it rained. But then after the 1st lap the race was just as boring as expected, only the multiple pit stops for different tyres was the excitement after Senna drove off into the distance. If it was dry there would be no overtaking it just doesn't suit an F1 car.FourWheelDrift said:
