Any idea what happened to the Donaldsons?
Also, was EL77 ok?
The Donaldson's car shared our garage. It dropped a valve and pumped all the oil out in the first hour. This was just before ours shot a shim through the cam carrier and dropped a valve. Bloody hell! Also, was EL77 ok?
EL77 -I assume he was the crasher of the red E36 whilst answering the phone setup in the car? He was fine by all accounts, but may have suffered subsequent injury if he didn't manage to avoid Guy Povey's wrath!

Not sure about the others, but mine was due to component failure, as the drivers swear they didn't over-rev the car.
Since it was built it had done 25 races at Combe, crashed at the ring, done 2 races at Oulton, 5 trackday tests and me over-rev it twice in the engine's early life. It survived all that, and I thought it was so strong it could take 24 hours of wringing the poor little thing's neck.
I was let down on my drive in another car, so only decided to enter the poor thing on Thursday night at 9pm...
Not the best of prep, really.
Next year it will do better as it has good speed. Went from 41st to 27th in 50 minutes.

What happened to your drive in the Viper? That was pretty quick when it actually went.Since it was built it had done 25 races at Combe, crashed at the ring, done 2 races at Oulton, 5 trackday tests and me over-rev it twice in the engine's early life. I do hope you'll enter your car again next year, you could finish pretty strongly with that.

that's about right Angus if they're built properly, 40hrs is the norm, cheers again for letting me qualify in your car

Owner of the car kept canging the deal and he didn't have a team running it. Is a glorious car, but needs to be run by a proper outfit.Looked and sounded great, but I had a feeling it wouldn't last the distance.
