Respect for Kimi !!
Discussion
I must say my respect for the Ice Man has gone up 100% over this season. Not only as a very fast driver but as a proper race driver.
Not once as he had anything bad to say about his previous team or manager. He has just got on with driving . There were none of the teddy chucking that we saw between FA & Massa at the german GP ,when Lewis slid by him from a long way back on sunday.
Also claiming that the accident was down to him?? ,Looked mech to me but the red cars dont break do they.
He has coped with taking over from MS ,Bridgestones,Working under the Toad,
and having loopy Luca saying we have not seen the real Kimi takes the cake.
At the end of last year a well known motor hack wrote how lucky Macs were to have a great PR person in FA and how Fezza were going to tame Kimi.
Shame Alonso did not go to Ferrari instead as they are made for each other.
And I do not suppose you would have had KR wingeing about how fast his team was.
In fact when Kimi was going through a bad patch the only one i Heard speak up for him was that Blaggard Ron Dennis!

On the other hand I have read an interview where he says that McLaren only make a good car every other year and he's struggling to beat his team mate who he should be much faster than, whereas the man who replaced him is 3 point off the world championship lead...and who's car is breaking down more often?
Two sides to every coin...
Two sides to every coin...
Kimi just doesn't talk very much to the press, full stop.
I notice since the spying debacle, his attributed quotes have often gone on to mention the 'special' feeling of driving for Ferrari and how Ferrari are so much more than just a race team, blah blah blah. Very unlike typical Kimi quotes.
Who am I to suggest the Ferrari press office like writing for him... (mind you, that'd be like all the other teams, too).

But the best part to him is really doesn't appear to give a flying Two sides to every coin...

I like Kimi. He doesn't get involved in politics, bickering or feuds - he just gets in the car and drives it. This has been a criticism aimed at him aswell - his lack of 'team' persona a la Schumacher is well documented but I think that at least you know where you stand with him.
I for one would much rather have him as my driver than Fernando. Lewis is a different proposition - he has the advantage (at the moment) of being quick (how quick remains to be seen) and PR/Team friendly. Fernando seems to have only the first of those attributes at the moment and even that's not set in stone every weekend....
Yup, got to agree in the car he has been superb this year, no doubt about it. Also the way he has kept a lid on any other arguements going on round about him out of the car has to be commended.
The thing that puts me off him though is that a friend of a friend is one of his managment teams PA'S and she reports that he is infact an absolute
. Very arrogant to all round about.
Don't suppose that makes him a bad race driver though..
