the very quick Rob Harriman, of the hillclimbing Harriman Clan. Brother Pete runs a mega quick Mitsi Evo7 and Dad Mick runs a 600+bhp swb Quattro. Must be something in the water....

The Harrimans had a bit of a bad weekend at Loton on Saturday...

unfortunatly the Audi spat its dummy out as it crossed the finish line on its 1st (?) practice run... blowing the turbo i believe...

and then something went on the Evo as well in practice... lots of smoke as it headed along Cedar Straight.

great pitty! still winter rebuild time is here

the quattro lunched its 2nd or 3rd turbo in recent weeks and Petes Evos head gasket cried no more. Knowing them they will be back with more hp as well as being rebuitl lol

you godda admit tho - theres nothing quite like stood somewhere on the path between Keepers and Fallows when the quattro sets off - just the sound it makes as it launches, the machine gun back firing at hall... all echoing through the trees, before it explodes round keepers... (was on Keepers/Post 4 all weekend)

Micks 'old' red roadgoing SWB Quattro was awesome, but his new white steed is just mind blowing. we were in the same class at Loton July meeting on the saturday and watching him arrive at Fallow after my run with flames spitting out of the side exit exh as the anti-lag kicked in was lovely. think he may have toasted some wildlife with the flames, but the sound was like the (proper) RAC rallies of the 80's, the sounds reverberating up through museum and over the line made the hairs stand up on my neck.
